They choose for a very simple and fun wedding keeping in mind most of the Italian traditions.
For this reason they opted for a catholic ceremony in a wonderful church, I could say a cathedral it was very big and very baroque.

However unconventional Daniela damped down her entrance arriving on a country jeep… well this is the mean of transport you use in the country she could say!
Have a look to her dress very simple, very modern and very… one-of-a-kind, just like Daniela is.
On the opposite she opted for a very simple and country bouquet, loose flowers like they were picked in the fields!

For their reception Daniela and Antonio chose a private villa just in the vines.
The perfect frame for a country wedding.
The villa has just been renewed by the architect studio, Antonio works at preserving the original features of this wonderful property.
Cobbles paths and rustic walls where Daniela hung all black and white pictures of the guests to created a special guests book corner.

A lovely walk in the vines and an ice lollies for a summer day in the country.
What a great idea for an relaxed and happy atmosphere!

Warm candle light and colored light setting created the perfect atmosphere for an outdoor reception in the garden of the villa and all around the property.
Dances and music to follow and have a look to Daniela shoes flat sandals to dance all night long.

This is for sure one of the happiest, more laid down and warm wedding we’ve ever seen!

Jennifer and Carl got married on a wonderful day of the end of May and they choose lovely town of Asti and Monferrato area for their wedding.
Before coming in these stunning places they’ve both been here before. Carl have a lot of good friends here. He always loved wonderful landscapes, vine hills, traditional cuisine and literally fell in love with pretty town of Asti and wanted Jennifer being part of all this, too!

Asti is located right in the centre of this wonderful area called Monferrato.
Side of Langhe area this is the other great area where you will have the chance to meet the real Piemonte countryside with its vines hills and stunning landscapes.
Asti is a wonderful ancient town. It has been founded by Ancient Romans and knew its golden age during Middle Age.
It has been also a very important center for former Italian Royal Family of Savoy and you can see traces of this presence all over the town.

Jennifer and Carl wanted for their wedding a simple yet charming frame.
Little villages and especially vines. They both lived in a big American city and being here for them was just a blessing. They’ve found in Monferrato a human atmosphere made of deep, lovely and friendly relationships, good cuisine and great wines that in a way are the roots of humanity.
For this reason for the days before and after the wedding they planned a wonderful tour in local cellars to taste and know the great richness of Monferrato wines.

They both stayed in Asti to get ready and choose wonderful Cathedral of San Secondo in Asti mainsquare for their catholic ceremony.
The ceremony was really elegant with candles, fine details and the sound of the organ as background.
The great surprise was a big group of flag flyers who celebrated the exit of bride and groom with a great exhibition of flying flags and drums.
This is a very important Medieval Asti tradition that is is passed on through generations.
Isn’t it a great idea?

For the shooting Riccardo Lavezzo and his team worked in the wonderful town of Asti and vines in the surroundings, the little village of Calliano where the reception held.
The restaurant Jennifer and Carl choose is one of the best of the area where you could taste a wonderful traditional cuisine.

Despite of being very close to the city you will discover how pretty could be the hills that surrounds the area just perfect for a charming Italian Country Wedding.
We are going today in the little town of Cumiana, a little village close to bugger town of Pinerolo just about 20 minutes drive from Torino on the road leading to Sestriere – do you remember about Mina and Derek’s wedding on Olimpic Valleys?

We would like to tell you about Aimee and Marco’s wedding thanks to great pictures taken by Maren Ollman Ottaviano in Torino.
Maren has a great style, the story telling is very spontaneous and simply unique.

In this case bride and groom wanted something more dreamy and posed but the result is stunning! Very good job Maren!

Aimèe is an Australian wedding planner herself. We are honored that a colleague chose Piemonte region for her Italian wedding! This means a lot to us….
She could not resist to the unique appeal of Castello di Cumiana also known as Palazzo dei Conti di Canalis.
The castle was built back in 1200 and it was changed many times during the centuries.
The wonderful frescos in the castle are dated 1700 and 1800 and they are the most stunning part of the entire place. The castle has also a wonderful park that could be also ideal for an outdoor aperitif or garden dinner under the stars!
We can understand why Aimee and Marco fell in love with this place!

Aimee wanted a charming and elegant reception and we really think she choose the perfect venue and style!
Have a look to her wonderful hairdo, a perfect 30s and vintage style. Short and defined hair with little waves around her pretty face. She is simply adorable!

Aimee bouquet was really pretty too and very original.
She wanted something with mini callas almost all totally wrapped with galaxy leaves.
It was really elegant and really matched Aimee vintage style!

Religious ceremony has been held in the closer Santa Maria della Motta church.
It is located very close to the castle right in Cumiana.
The church is amazing….it was founded in 1407 by the same Lords of the castle Casalis Family. It is dedicated to Holy Mary and it has wonderful frescos on the ceiling, just like the castle.
Guests and bride and groom reached the church monumental local marble steps.

Reception to follow was planned in the stunning rooms of Castello di Cumiana. All Australian guests were amazed by the beauty if this wonderful venue.

Maren chose the wide park with secular trees, ancient corners, charming rooms that saw the romantic love between Vittorio Amedeo II of Savoy and young Carlotta Canalis (future Marquise of Spingo) for Aimee and Marco wedding photos….a romantic frame for sure!

The huge Chantilly cream wedding cake was the final for a wonderful day for Aimee and Marco and for their guests.
A dream countryside wedding just few steps from Torino!

Tracy and Kelly opted for a very elegant event, quite intimate, with a touch or contemporaneity and surely very special.
Just look at Kelly’s suit…a great Tuxedo that speaks from itself!

Because of Kelly’s Italian heritage they really wanted a catholic ceremony. It was held in wonderful Duomo di Alba (Alba Cathedral).
The Gothic church is dedicated to St. Lorenzo and it is located in the main square of the little town.
It was renovated many times and the last one was in 2007 adding a touch of modernity to this special church and this was exactly what Tracy and Kelly were looking for.

While Kelly and their guests were waiting in the wonderful Cathedral, Tracy reached Alba on a wonderful Maserati.
She wore a wonderful dress with a romantic veil that was just ideal for a Cathedral wedding!
The touch of charm were wonderful Valentino shoes she had on…red like only Valention shoes can be!

After a lovely ceremony and few pictures in the wonderful square in Alba Maserati drove Tracy and Kelly through a spectacular landscape of Langhe to reach then reception venue.

We’ve already mentioned this special venue just above the hills.
It is one of the most ancient Cascina of Langhe territory that has been renovated to be a chic and contemporary restaurant.
It is just here that ancient and modern combine perfectly!

Tracy opted for a white-green themed wedding with many different flowers she loved.
She had Anthurium and Orchids in her bouquet which made the arrangement very elegant but added some gerberas in the centerpieces to keep it simple just like the countryside.
Table was simply beautiful decorated with a long silver runner, some glass spheres , sparkling candles and lots of crystals.

Tracy and Kelly choose a very special chef for their wedding dinner.
After a lovely aperitive overlooking the hills and Alps and some special pictures they all moved to the restaurant area of the Cascina for the dinner.
Chef Davide Palluda prepared a wonderful meal for them with special matching wines such as red wines Nebbiolo, Barbera, Barbaresco, white Arneis and sweet sparkling white Moscato.
Tracy and Kelly really wanted their guest had a special culinary experience and we are sure they will remember if for a long time!

For the cake a very special friend who is a pastry chef prepared a wonderful and delicious cake served on one of the terrace of the venue.
And what could be better than lot of fun for the party?
It went on until very late at night with some swing and dancing music played by a great band.
It was surely intimate, very elegant but one of the most entertaining wedding of the season!

I met Matt and Katie about one year ago in Alba and I immediately got in my mind the idea of what they were looking for.

When we met they had in their minds a clear idea of their perfect reception venue.
As both of them work in the wine world they are very good fiends of Gaja Wines family and they got the special permission to hire their wonderful castle in Barbaresco for their reception.

A unique occasion!
It was clear since the very beginning the the main theme of the wedding had to be Piemonte Gaja wines!
Starting from this we planned with Katie and Matt every single detail to let them have a perfect event.

Katie is a wonderful American girl and Matt is coming from New Zealand they choose this special spot of Italy for their passion for this wonderful vines landscapes and delicious food and wine you can appreciate here.

The whole party arrived from all over the world to be welcomed with wine tastings, visits to local cellars and villages and a nice rehearsal dinner just in the vines… but the best is still to come!

On the day of the wedding Katie and her bridesmaids arrived to the Castello of Gaja family for the getting ready and here wonderful photo service by Photo27 started!

The ceremony was held in the grounds of the Castello overlooking Barbaresco vines.
A wonderful ceremony performed by our celebrants Giuseppe and Diane that planned for them a special ceremony of the wine where bride and groom needed to pour wine from two glassed into a single one to symbolize their union.

Wonderful country flowers and magic music of the wonderful string trio were the frame of this lovely moment.

After that some nice and funny pictures in the pretty village of Barbaresco and the aperitif and dinner can start!
The meal was prepared by famous Chef Davide Palluda – a Michelin star Chef – and is great staff.
Food was just amazing and was a little gastronomic tour in the specialities of Piemonte cuisine accompanied by great Gaja wines.
Bride and groom and their guests had 8 different wines during the meal to match every single course Chef Davide Palluda prepared.

In the meanwhile our string trio pleased the atmosphere with some italian classical and more modern music that everybody really enjoyed.
Dinner was served in the court of the Castello and totally en lit by our Light Engineering experts to create a natural but stunning illumination for both dinner and dances afterwards.

Right after some speeches the wedding cake!
Katie and Matt chose a traditional hazelnuts wedding cake called Diabella a delicious dessert of Piemonte region.

Dances and fun afterward with lights and a great dj set.

Italian Country Wedding

They both come from England. Catherine and her family are English and Giuseppe and his family come from England too but they have an Italian heritage.
Most of the guests came from South of Italy or came from England but were almost all Italian speakers!

The reason because they opted for Italian Langhe region was because Catherine’s family own a wonderful property in the area and because Giuseppe’s family really wanted to have an Italian wedding for them…so we have the perfect solution!

The wedding took place all in one place!
Catherine’s home is located just side of the church of little village of Sale San Giovanni and just in front of it there is a wonderful castle where we planned the reception.
The castle was built in 1200 and owned by Savoy family and then in 1800 taken by Marquises of Incisa di Camerana.
It is located on a hill with wonderful view over the valley on 616 mt above the sea level.

When Catherine was ready with just few steps she reached the lovely church built in 1700 with many frescoes and lit up by dozens of candles.
She opted for a pink theme color for her flowers in all the shades of this romantic color that matched bridesmaids dresses and Giuseppe’s tie too.

After the ceremony and few images overlooking the valley Catherine and Giuseppe enjoyed a lovely aperitif in the garden of the castle.
Another panoramic spot for their guests to enjoy!

With this atmosphere they surely had a country style wedding.
Music played by great musicians accompanied the ceremony and the long aperitif.

And after that all guests reached the main room of the castle at the first floor with stunning frescos on the ceiling for a very special dinner!
Catherine and Giuseppe’s dinner was prepared by one of the most famous Michelin star Piemonte chef: Davide Palluda.
They surely have a delicious dinner!

After the dinner they had a great party!!
Giuseppe wanted a special DJ, a friend of him who played a lot of dancing music and most of all many Italian traditional songs like tarantella and pizzica to make the night a real fun!

We are sure that Catherine and GIuseppe will remember this night for a long time… like us!

Elisa and Andrea are a lovely couple living and working in Turin, main city of Piemonte region we already told you about in some of our posts.
Most of the people know it to be a gray industrial city but this is very far from the truth!
It is an elegant charming and royal city being the headquarter of former Italian Royal family and first capital of Italian country back in 1861.
This year, 2011, we are celebrating the 150 years anniversary of Italian Country as single nation and sign of this can be seen everywhere in Italy especially in the city that marked the history of the country: city of Turin is among these places.

In occasion of this big event the city is full of Italian flags and has many exhibitions to see.
In Palazzo Madama – Queen’s palace – in the center of the city by the Savoy Castle you can admire the full reconstruction of the first parliament of 1861.
It is just there that Elisa and Andrea decided to get married.

Civil ceremonies in Palazzo Madama are allowed by the town hall of Torino just like the one in Teatro Carignano we spoke about in a previous post.

A perfect setting for a ceremony, for pictures.
Just have a look to the wonderful staircase framing the arrival of the bride!

After the ceremony Elisa and Andrea opted for a real country wedding!
They moved with all guests to a local Agriturismo in the countryside just about 30 minutes drive from the city a real oasis far from the busy roads of Turin.

The choice was great an ancient Casale with a wide green space and a delicious Piemonte cuisine and great offer of wines.
Elisa opted for an orange themed wedding that started from her…shoes!

The flowers decorations were all made with orange lilium and some peach roses.
Names cards, favors, menu and even a the table plan was orange matching the shapes of the flowers and the style of the venue with their lovely iron chairs and canopy where the dinner was served!

A huge white and orange wedding cake with sugar almonds tasting closed the dinner.
Friends of the couple where the DJs for the night for a great party that went on until very late at night.
This is what we call a great day!

A wonderful venue was the perfect frame for this sweet wedding.
A stunning landscape and a sunny day created a very special atmosphere.

Ketty and Matteo come from Aosta Valley and they live and work in Belgium.
For their wedding they choose to be together with their friends and relatives in a quite unusual venue.
It is a an ancient cascina in the heart of Piemonte hills totally renewed with a contemporary style which perfectly match surrounding environment.

Harmony was one of the main character of the day!

Since the very beginning Ketty – the bride had very clear ideas on decorations and style of the wedding. She opted for red color a symbol of passion and energy with a touch of white to create a minimal and fine touch.

One of the most important detail of the wedding was in red: Ketty’s dress!
She chose an haute cuture short dress with a very light shawl on.
Wedding shoes were red too to create a very elegant style… our bride seemed a real model!

One of the best moment of the day was Ketty’s arrival to the country church of San Bovo that was decorated with simple bouches of red roses in tall vases.
Katty arrived on a wonderful vintage white Lambretta!
Matteo and the family were waiting for here just outside the church as Piemonte tradition wants. They were all excited seeing the bride arriving clapping their hands to wish a long life full of happiness!

After the ceremony bride and groom with their guests came back to the Cascina.
Lovely canapes, gourmand finger food and fired bites and a lot of Prosecco and were waiting for them for the outdoor aperitif.
Wines were personally chosen by Matteo who is a wonderful wine fan!

The party followed on the first floor of the venue in a wonderful room with a stunning and wide view on the hills.
Michelin Starred Chef Davide Palluda and his staff prepared for the party a gourmand that everybody simply loved!

For the after dinner party and traditional Italian style berries wedding cake cut Ketty and Matteo had some other surprises for their guests.
A wonderful red and white sugared almonds tasting and side of the guest book lovely chocolates coming from Belgium to let their guests taste a little bit of Italy and another little of Belgium!

Dances and open bar to follow.
A wonderful live band played music for every taste!

It is really special event. Today we would like to show you a wonderful country wedding to the mountains of Valsassina – 1595 meters above sea level.

Green Valsassina is just above lake Como up to peaks of Pizzo Tre Signori – 2554 meters above sea level.
Valsassina is well known for it’s undiscovered atmosphere, with woods, and lot of green.
It is also known to be the green part of Milan, it so close to it!

Valsassina is also well known for the production of delicious cheeses like Taleggio, Robiola and Quatriolo.

Angela and Claudio got married on a wonderful summer sunny and clear day.
Religious ceremony was held in the church of San Michele in Inrobio, a little village in the heart of Valsassina 600 meters above sea level.

Right after the ceremony a great surprise! An helicopter was waiting for bride and groom to lead them to Val Biandino another valley side of Valsassina.

What a great idea! A spectacular view, mountains and nature was the perfect frame of Angela and Claudio’s wedding pictures.
No doubt these will be unforgettable for bride and groom!

During the trip bride even tried to pilot the helicopter.
An unusual choice for Angela and Claudio. Such an adventure, original and really unusual!

Party was held in a panoramic restaurant in Lecco, well known for its view on Lake Como and mountains surrounding it.

The appeal of this venue is no doubt his very ancient history in a quiet and rich nature where green and flowers are at their best!
Today we would like to show Abbazia of Santo Spirito under a different point of view for a country wedding.

The main characters of the event are Elisa and Gabriele, a wonderful couple from Vercelli – Piedmont who chose Alessandro Ambrosetti as photographer for their special day. He was great creating magic and timeless images!

Religious ceremony has been held in the private ancient chapel of the Abbazia.
Have a look to elegant arm sheaf bouquet of the bride made up with all white callas.

Dinner to follow was arranged in the wonderful Reception Room in the area that was the ancient armory of the Abbazia.

The party went on in the garden with the wonderful cake cut and bouquet throwing.
