\nFederica and Eungerran<\/strong> are a nice couple coming from Paris<\/strong> who chose Piedmont for their country wedding in Italy. Federica has Italian heritage and her family owns a wonderful country house near Asti<\/strong> not very far from Cortanze Castle. She loved her house and she spent almost all her summer vacations. When she came here with her fiance Eungerran he fell in love with those places too and decide to pick up these valleys and fairy tales castles for their wedding.<\/p>\n

\"Asti-Country-House-Wedding\"<\/p>\n

They kept on coming here to escape from Paris city life and enjoy wonderful landscape that Langhe and Monferrato offer. They had their big day on a wonderful day of the end of August. Federica and Eungerran got married to Cortanze Castle<\/strong> arranging there both civil ceremony and reception here.<\/p>\n

They decided for an open air civil ceremony in the highest terrace of the castle at 4pm. Sun was warm and day was beautiful.<\/p>\n

Ceremony was enriched with nice stories that friends told about the couple. All were so moved we could see it in their eyes.<\/p>\n

Arrangement bride and groom chose were simple but elegant matching couple personality. Wonderful and cultivated people but very simple in their way of being.<\/p>\n

They had about 120 guests. Many of them came from Paris and you could see it from their lovely style.<\/p>\n

At 6pm a long and rich aperitif was served on the bigger terrace under ceremony one. Both terraces have stunning view on Monferrato and Langhe . Castle and this landscape seem to stop the time in a natural and romantic mood.<\/p>\n

Guests entertained themselves with nice polaroid portaits and funny sunglasses arranged for the occasion. A great fun for all.<\/p>\n

After toasting and laughing with all guests bride and groom enjoyed some moment of romantic loneliness to take some pictures. They spent some time on another wonderful terrace facing the village. Photographer were the the only ones with them but their professional discretion made them feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera.<\/p>\n

At about 8pm guest reached the main armory room for the dinner. All could enjoy a magic sunset that lit the hills and castle with shades of red. Reception room with its antique style, ancient portraits, chandeliers an frescoes was just perfect. Floral arrangements were made with rosemary and flowers to keep the simple theme bride and groom decided.<\/p>\n

As usual dinner begun with speaches. This time they were nice and funny. They begun with Enguerran’s father going to witnesses and friends. Since long aperitif and speeches they opted for a short dinner of about one hour and a half. All the guest had the opportunity to enjoy great regional cuisine with wonderful wines of the area such as Barolo and Barbaresco.<\/p>\n

After dinner another terrace on the opposite side of the castle was there to wait for bride and groom for sweets buffet and wedding cake cut. Wedding cake cut was really scenographic: all guests were around the couple holding little fireworks. Just so evocative.<\/p>\n

Castle has many rooms. It gave the photographers the possibility many points of view shooting the same situation from several corners getting also lovely panoramic images.<\/p>\n

Party went on up to very late at night in one of the rooms inside the castle with with a DJ set, colored lights and open bar.<\/p>\n

A wonderful party with wonderful people who all had a great time!
\nIt was a lovely party for sure. It was moving and views on Monferrato and Langhe were just amazing….all guests coming from all over the world simply fell in love with that….as we do too!<\/p>\n
