Here is the romantic story of Barclay and Zach, who tied the knot with a lovely winter wedding in Courmayeur<\/strong> – Aosta Valley.
Italian people call it, in a friendly way, “Courma<\/em>” and we can say that aside from being a fantastic natural alpine destination<\/strong>, it is also a chic and fashionable site for those who love stylish winter holidays!<\/p>\n\n\n

Courmayeur – the highest village in Italy<\/h2>\n\n\n

At an elevation of 1,224 m (4,016 ft) above sea level<\/strong>, Courmayeur lies at the foot of the southern side of Mont Blanc<\/strong>.
Courmayeur is located in the Aosta Valley region<\/strong>, and it shares the administration of Mont Blanc with its neighboring municipality of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains in France and is consequently able to claim the title of the highest municipality in Italy<\/strong>. A perfect destination for a winter wedding!<\/p>\n\n\n

Courmayeur also shares access to the glacial ski run of the Vall\u00e9e Blanche with another French town, Chamonix<\/strong>, which sits on the opposite, northern, side of the Mont Blanc massif.
Nearby there is the base station of the Skyway Monte Bianco, the cable car to the Pointe Helbronner, where we can also plan wonderful weddings on top of Mt Blanc<\/a> (read our previous posts for further literature<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n

A romantic civil ceremony in Courmayeur<\/h2>\n\n\n

Barclay and Zack decided to elope in Italy<\/a>. They contacted me via social media after seeing the beautiful weddings we planned on top of Pointe Helbronner – Mt. Blanc several months ago.
They decided on something more relaxed and casual for their February Winter Wedding in Courmayeur<\/strong> – Aosta Valley.
Barclay and Zack for an intimate civil ceremony in the local town hall of the village.
The historical building of the town hall is lovely. Stones and wood details are the main features of traditional alpine architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony was super intimate: the two witnesses, the bride and groom and Stefano of Joy Photographers<\/a> took these fantastic shots of the day before, during, and after the ceremony.
I had the honor to be the official translator of the ceremony<\/strong> co-celebrating with the mayor of Courmayeur.<\/p>\n\n\n

Joy Photographers<\/a> were the official photographers of the day. After the ceremony, the bride and groom and their witnesses took some private time to take some lovely shots of the village, nature, and the surroundings of the town hall.
Barclay was beautiful in her simple yet exquisite white dress. We created a romantic white bridal bouquet for her, but they also had with them a leather “Just Married<\/em>” sign that her mum and dad got in Italy for their wedding years ago.
Zack was very handsome in his black suit. They were an exceptional couple for a unique winter wedding in Courmayeur – Aosta Valley.<\/p>\n\n\n

We left Barclay and Zach and their two friends\/witnesses after the ceremony and their photos leaving them the privacy they wanted, but they told me before leaving that their top experiences in the area would have been going to the top of Mont Blanc with the Skyway cable cab<\/a>, visit the chic shops in Courmayeur<\/strong> and have a romantic dinner in the village and also visit the fantastic thermal center of QC Terme in close by Pres-St-Didier.<\/strong> And we must not forget the and the Casino in Saint Vincent<\/strong> one of the few casino in Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
