The Italian Wedding Company has been in the Destination Wedding business since 2007. After many weddings planned and overcoming the pandemic, we thought it was time to Give Back to the Community 
, and we decided to plan a Charity Wedding in Italy. We opted to support a local reality, Il Ranch delle Donne.

Il Ranch delle Donne is a social farm that supports, help and welcomes violence victims, women, and gynecological and breast cancer patients – survivors and thrivers – and their families, friends, and caregiver. It is powered by two non-profit organizations operating inside the venue: RiDo (Research for Women) and Acto Piemonte (Alliance Against Gynecological Cancer).

Given that we often speak with women in our wedding business – brides, mothers of the brides, sisters, friends, maids of honor, bridesmaids, or simply guests -, we thought that this charity initiative could also be an excellent way to inform support and raise awareness on gynecological and breast cancer but also against violence on women.
What is the best way to raise awareness and Give Back to the Community? A Charity Wedding in Italy.
Our planners and partners donate and support Il Ranch delle Donne with their volunteer work and donations every year, but we decided to do something more!

A Charity Wedding at Ranch delle Donne

Thanks to an international partnership with the Two+Us association, some of the planners at the Italian Wedding Company, with the support of another wedding planning agency, Ti Amo Ti Sposo by Sabrina Gambato, decided to do even more! 
Fate sent us an excellent and sweet young girl, Cristina, a cancer survivor, and her fiancé, Dario, who wanted to get married in an unusual and unique venue.
 We donated to Cristina and Dario’s wedding at Il Ranch delle Donne to raise awareness of gynecological cancer!

After over a year of planning and asking for help from our trusted friends/professionals, vendors, friends, and suppliers, in September 2022, we celebrated this fantastic and incredibly unique wedding and give Back to the Community 
with A Charity Wedding in Italy.

A Rock and Roll Bride and mysterious Groom

Dario and Cristina and their families and friends helped create their dream wedding as much as we all did, but on the wedding day, they needed their time and space. 
So Cristina got ready at her sister’s home and Dario in his place.
Cristina and Dario are one-of-a-kind couples, a mix of rock and fairy tales that was just a creative blend for all of us, an incredible challenge.

Our bride wore an incredible sparkling and “fairy tale colors” wedding dress donated by Demas Milano. 
On top of that, her leather jacket, did we mention that Cristina and Dario are Harley Davidson bikers? 
After makeup and a hairdo donated by Zocca Hair Studio, Cristina was ready for her pre-wedding photos just by her brother-in-law’s collection of guitars! What a perfect spot for her!
Dario wore a different suit with a touch of gloomy elegance and with his long hair down.
Once they were ready, they headed to Il Ranch delle Donne!

A Moving Ceremony at Il Ranch delle Donne

Dario arrived with the escort of his groomsman riding Harley Davidson bikes. What about Cristina?
She decided to arrive on foot with all her friends and female members of her family: an excellent group singing and dancing on the notes of a famous Disney song: she is Disney’s top fan!

Her father was the only man walking with her, and once she grabbed her bridal bouquet, she was ready to walk down the aisle.

The ceremony set was pretty unique! Il Ranch delle Donne volunteers, Italian Wedding Company and Ti Amo TI Sposo planners created a ceremony venue for our bride and groom in the middle of the meadow. There were colored greenhouse arches with colorful ribbons and some colorful tires, bales of hay with white blankets as seats for guests, vintage rugs for the aisle, and two unique celebrants to conduce a Celtic-inspired ceremony.

The wedding ceremony was meaningful, and family and friends all got moved. They were very happy for Cristina that, after her thriving past, she could crown her dream of getting married to the man of her dreams, Dario. He proposed during her chemo, and getting married cancer-free for Cristina was the achieving of two goals in one!

Donating a wedding for this purpose made our dream come true, too.

A unique wedding on the outskirts of Torino – Piemonte

As a symbol of their love to grow at the end of the wedding ceremony, Dario and Cristina planted a tree that will grow and give fruits in the vast orchard at Il Ranch delle Donne, where there are also planted trees, olives, and plants in loving memories of some loved ones.

Cristina had a romantic white bridal bouquet matching the flowers and decor on the tables. Flowers were donated by The Flowers Lab. Wedding decor and stationary were all magnificently hand-made by Jessica Perrotta Visual Artist.
 Cristina and Dario’s friends also decorated Il Ranch delle Donne with vintage vinyl records everywhere to add an extra touch of Rock style to the event!

Cristina and Dario had a fantastic photo session donated by Andrea Pinacci.
 They walked in Il Ranch delle Donne’s meadows and posed with their awesome Harley Davidson. You could see they were over the moon.

Lavezzo Studio donated their wedding video service. Below you can see the final result, giving a significant glance at such a happy day!

A real fun wedding Party at Il Ranch delle Donne

The party to follow was super! It was a buffet-style lunch donated by Meeting Banqueting, La Casa del Pane and Comitato Juvarra,
There were cold cuts and local cheeses, pizza and focaccia, pasta and risotto corners, a popcorn station, an open beer bar, and marshmallows for kids. But most of all, there was a huge BBQ area!

Gabriele Mauro, the General Manager of Meeting Banqueting, grilled for the bride and groom and their guests.
The music donated by Mediadressing and their DJ played all day long to make everybody dance.
 It was more than a wedding party. It was a real fest. Dario and Cristina have had their wedding like this since they decided on their invitations donated by Sweet & Cursive in the style of a Rock Festival Concert. They gave all the guests a concert-style bracelet to wear with a Spotify Code to scan their favorite love song.

The afternoon ended with cutting the cake, and when few friends remained at Ranch delle, Donne, Cristina, and Dario took some time to thank all the professionals and planers who donated to the cause to raise awareness on gynecological cancer through their wedding.


Exceptional thanks were made to Elisa Picardo and Marco Mitidieri, the two OB-GYN doctors and presidents of the two non-profit organizations at Il Ranch delle Donne, and to all the volunteers who served on the day.

And we made it! Our charity wedding reached significant Italian newspapers and TV.
 There is still much more to do, but this is a good start. Italian Wedding Company supports the local Community, and more than ever, on the day, we could say that we made a couple’s dream come true.
